Hi guys, What do you think is better for my infiniti fx35, A supercharger or a turbo and what brands are good?

There r only two companies that l know that has a supercharger system for ur application & l think u might like the Stillen one the best.

Stillen uses a Root is type supercharger which is great for low end HP & Torque. Since ur vechile is heavy, this type of supercharger will give u more power right off the line & it will stay pretty consistent throughout the whole RPM range. On top of this the Stillen supercharger will help u if u do any kind of towing or hauling. Since the power-band will be in the lower RPM range & u do not have to wait for it to spool up this might be the best choice for ur application.

The other supercharger on the market is a centrifugal type made by AT l Procharger. You will see more power out of it, however the peak HP will be at redline. So basically u will not see any boost until the mid RPM band & then full boost at redline. A turbo system will work almost the same, however the boost is not control by RPM band.it just will take some time to spool up instead. So with a root is type supercharger u usually will see more HP throughout the RPM range, but not peakier HP numbers.

So if u r looking for more power in the lower RPM & throughout the entire RPM then the Stillen supercharger will be the way to go. Or if u r looking for more power right when u step on the pedal then a root is type supercharger is the way to go. And if u do tow or haul anything then this is the only one on the market that will help you.

If u r just looking for peak HP & u do expect to drive aggressively & redline ur RPM then a turbo or a centrifugal type will be best for you.

BTW. The Stillen supercharger compressor in my opinion is also more reliable. They use an Eaton supercharger which is commonly found in Jags, Fords, Mercedes, & other OEM applications. They compressors last long.

Go with a supercharger.

l have the ProCharger supercharger kit for my 00 Civic Si.Im in the process of installing it right now.it is supposed to recreate about 70% hp so l should be around 300hp when all is said & done, yet still have daily driver ability.but l wont get to experience it until the spring.thats the price l pay for living in the northern midwest though.
