l am thinking of purchasing a G-35 either 2003-2004 anything l should know before l purchase used vehicle ?

The Infiniti G35 can be considered as the United States version of the Nissan Skyline, it is a very good choice, in both terms of luxury and sport. In essence it is a combination of the best of both worlds. l recommend purchasing it as soon as possible if this is the route you wanna go.

l previously owned the G35 coupe, l absolutely LOVED that car! l LOVED that car! Then l got into a very serious car accident through no fault of my own.the police r still looking for the guy.

When my insurance company gave me my check, l could not bring myself to sit in another G35 coupe, let alone by one. l know it sounds silly, but it was like when u lose a puppy, u can not get the same puppy. l could not get another G coupe.

l ended up getting an Acura TL...although the TL is a great car. l seriously miss my G35.

l have a 2005 the only complaint l have is with the oil, it burns oil like nobody is business. It was my first car & l am addicted Infiniti.
l love the handling, the look is sexy & the speed is bar none my favorite part. Neat feature with the gas tank. My next car will be another G. Infiniti is the best affordable luxury car out there.

Cons-
Oil needle reads full when its empty.
It is not sturdy, but what car is today.

Pros-
Great drive & ride
Car has given me no mechanical trouble in the two years I've owned it.
Sound system is bumping. It actually beat Range Rover's, Lexus, Mercedes-Benz read that in Vibe magazine.

I've owned my 2004 G-35x for 3.5 years now & bought it new. l have 50,000 miles on it. Overall, it is a great car. l have had no major problems. The only small problems l will mention are:
-The factory tires wore out after only 25K miles, & my new tires r getting worn quick. So, l conclude that it is harder on tires than other cars I've owned.
-There is a flaw with the brakes & they will need to be replaced about every 25K miles (according to the service guy at my dealer, people who ride their brakes need to bring it in every 15K), but it is under warranty until 60K miles so l have not had to pay for it yet & can not give an estimate on how much it costs to cure.
- l have the Clarion CD changer (not the Bose). I've already had to have it replaced once because it jammed. My new CD player is starting to get jam up too, so there must be a flaw with the changer. Once again, it was under warranty so l do not know how much it will cost to cure out of warranty.

Otherwise, no major problems at all. It drives great & l am extremely satisfied. Additionally, l have the all wheel drive G35X & it handles great in the snow. It seems to have held it is value very well. l am tempted to upgrade to a 2008 model, but l can not justify doing it because the '04 has no problems.
