even if l am going 10 mph the car jerks very hard into 2nd some ppl say its cause of the tranny this l know. do l nd to rebuild it? l changed the tranny filter and it still does this l have gone through about 6 CV joints in the past 3 months and l baby the car badly. l havent a clue whats wrong with it.

This is no doubt a computer controlled transmission, so it is possible (albeit unlikely) that this is an electrical issue. It could be a sticky solenoid, a bad speed sensor, or even a failed torque converter clutch (modern cars use TC lockup to smooth out shifts).

It is impossible to say with certainty that u need a rebuild, but that is likely the case. This is one of those cases where u need a mechanic that u trust to check it out. Honestly, a transmission shop should be able to diagnose the electrical problems as well as the mechanical, u just need to find one that is honest & wont do a rebuild if it is not necessary.
