Anywhere from $30,000 to $55,000. It depends upon the car. If he is 17 he probably had the G35, which goes for $30,000-$35,000.

Do not get too hyped up, you could pick up a used good condition G35 coupe or sedan for under $15k all day long, you just need to know where to look. With Infiniti, as soon as the car is 3 years old you can pretty much guarantee you can find one for under $20k dollars because those cars depreciate pretty fast compared to other luxury brands.

Too much for a Fancy Datsun. l am not impressed. l have a co-worker that has one and is giving him trouble. Bought a G35 for his son and is a money pit. is laughable.

Infiniti is like all car companies make cars that r affordable & others that r more pricey. You should also take into consideration the year of the model.

Do not mind those here who have decided to trash Infiniti. They either just like cars, or do not know enough about cars. They do not love cars. No car guy will bash a brand & provide or reason for it. I've had the privilege to own several nice cars, including a G35 coupe; which I've tracked. And have had the lucky chance to compare it to the BMW 335i, Mercedes CLK, & Mustang GT. They all have positives & negatives to them. As much as say l would never want to own a Mustang (non-Shelby, or KOTR), it was definately a fun car to drive, easy to brake traction & smoke the tires.

Anyways, sorry about the off-topic rant. The Infiniti is a nice car, if it was new, then it can be pricey. If he has a 2 door, it is the G37 coupe ($35k US, $45k CDN), it then goes to the M45 sedan ($65k US). Most likely he has the two door, being a younger person. l suspect that unless his parents r well off, or he is, that he got it used, & it would be a G35 coupe. Which he can get a good example or about $20k.

At the other end of the spectrum r older used Infiniti's, like the G20 & J20, sedans, that can be bought for about $5-7k.

Saying an Infiniti is inferior to a BMW is like saying oranges tastes better than apples. Yes they're cars, but they're different, same as they're both fruits..but they're different. Take a 335i, & a G37 & track them. After 2 laps, the BMW will have a lead because BMs just handle better, that is what they do. After 7 laps, the BM overheats & has to be cooled off, while the Infiniti is still going..because it is Infiniti..it is what they do.
