Hi. My boyfriend just bought a 2003 G35 Sedan and it seems to run and work flawlessly, with one exception: when the windows are rolled down, every bump the car goes over makes them rattle in the doors. With them up, there is no problem.

Any suggestions?

Well what you expect from an over priced Datsun. Sorry hon, you could have worn guides on the window sill. The felt is pretty wore out or the guide is also loose.

Check to make sure the windows are on their tracks properly.

SELL IT..lmao Nawwww j/k/ the window bracing is lose that is all, pop the door panels and look and find the lose parts and do what you need to to tighten them up..

There is a peice of felt on the inside of the door housing that keeps the window from rattling. It pushes against the glass from the inside. The felt is a magnet for oils & lubricants inside the door, which is the reason G35 windows often have a large streak that appears after each washing.

Chances are, the previous owner took out the felt, which is a popular fix listed on many Infiniti message boards, causing the rattle.

Do not listen to all these jackasses that tell u to sell it or that it is a piece of crap. Bought mine in 2003 with 26 miles on it, & it has not been in the shop once.

umm tough choice

l was having a similar problem with one window in my g35 and l took mine to the dealership and they fixed it. It had something to do with how the window was sitting when rolled down. l would definitely have someone look at it though especially if he bought the car used because the car may have been in an accident or something before.
