l own a new 2007 Infiniti G35 6MT. l have found that it drifts slightly (does not continue in a same line). The direction does not appear to be consistent. It sometimes drifts to the left and sometimes to the right. l went to the dealer and he mentioned that this is because the car has a better ''road feel''. l have previously been driving the Maxima and a Mustang, and did not have such an issue with either. The dealer also mentioned that if it was an alignment issue or a suspension issue, then the car would be consistent in the direction it would drift. He just asked me to wait on it and see if l get used to driving the car. l am not convinced. Any suggestions?
There is no active steer without the technology package. l donot have the technology package. l dont think the factory equipped car has air Ride suspension.

Sounds to me like it the suspension,check and see if you have an air ride system first off.

It could be an issue with those 19 inch super low profile tires that come with the 6MT. l have heard issues like this before regarding thos tires.

The 6MT comes with Rear Active Steer, which will turn the rear wheels a little when needed. That might have contributed to what happened.

At first, l would say the problem has to be in the alignment. But its a 2007! So l highly doubt (unless u took it off-roading) that the alignment may be the problem. Remember, most roads & especially highways r graded to allow rain to drain off the surface. l notice that all the time, sometimes my car will pitch to the right & sometimes to the left.

l would suggest trying (as a test) to find a flat parking lot & put the steering wheel dead center & let the car roll forward. Let the car roll a good distance to get a gauge.
l would also suggest hitting up some Enthusiast Groups to see if they have the same problem. NICO (nicoclub.com) has a good Infiniti following.

Get a second opinion at another Infiniti dealer. It is under warranty so use it.
