Do your homework. It is your car. If anything, have your technician check.

How much are you paying for your 03/04 G35 Sedan? l used to own a 03 G35 Coupe. Infiniti never let me down. The car is safe and very reliable. Fun to drive too, rev it over 5k on m/t mode (i'm assuming it is an automatic) and you can really feel the power, and no problem with the engine. The seats are confortable, interior is luxurious. Finally enjoy the sexy tail light of the G35s. * l am basing my answer off of the Coupe version, but l heard they are very similar.*

Better get full coverage insurance. Parts are very expensive from dealer. Weak front chassis.

The Infiniti G35 is a very reliable car & if u r having a tech look at any car u consider purchasing then u should be safe. Unlike it is counterparts the G35 has a lot of bang for ur buck potential. The repairs for the vehicles also fall under the expected rates for many other premium brands making the car cost effective. This on top of the award winning VQ-Series engine which has been with the company for over ten years now has been modified in this particular model for high performance while maintaining the longevity the engines r known for (255,673 miles on VQ). Your best bet is to find a G35 that is well optioned & with relatively low miles to ensure few problems if any. Again when the G35 debuted it blew the pants off many of its german counterparts mostly because it was so unexpected, relatively affordable, & had an engine that could not only keep up but could outperform many of the similarly priced vehicles. Good luck & remember if u can get one of the latter years of any particular body style u will find many of the problems that plagued earlier models fixed & or tweaked so l reccommend a 2005 in the least. Again good luck & u could hardly go wrong with this car.

Go to http://www-odi.nhtsa.dot.gov to find Consumer Complaints, Defect Investigations, Recalls, and Technical Service Bulletins for the 2003 G35.

Wisdumb pretty much said all the right things. l just want to reinforce something that he said; l would definitely try to avoid the debut model year (2003) as it has the always criticized 'fake' aluminum trim, as well as a few bugs that are expected with a brand new car. Get a 2004 and up! Best of luck!

l used to work at an Infiniti dealership. They are good cars but plan on spending alot of $ on brakes. These cars are hard on brakes, about 15 to 20k miles with factory pads and rotors, also the rotors wear badly. Infiniti even warrentied normal wear and tear on brakes for 3 years, normally not done.

l see a comment about brakes & most people will tell u that the average car will have brake problems, the thing is most brake places or the dealer will just reinstall the same old junk that came standard. For under $600 u can upgrade to drilled rotors & higher grade pads, the rotors should last the life of the car & pad twice as long. You can also get steel braided brake lines to improve performance. l have not checked prices on ebay, but often times the parts prices on these late model cars falls after a couple years so u may be able to get all the parts for under $300.

l use to work for an Infiniti dealer & although l left mad because of 5 year pay freezes l had great pride in their cars except the QX56 which was a nightmare for the first couple years. The G35 is a great car & fun to drive, the only problem l can think of is the brake pads would wear out at 12k but it was not really a problem because they stopped great but luxury customers don`t want large amounts of brake dust on their wheels. Another problem is the radios & this was a problem in most Infiniti`s but the radio was made by Clarion. Try to find one that had the radio replaced already. If u find a G35 or G35x u like just go to an Infiniti dealer & give them the vin number & they will be able to print out a history of anything done at any! Infiniti dealer. Infiniti is one of the best in service but there r poor managed dealers out there & l have even see the one l worked at change the customer`s address to the manager`s address so u don`t get the survey in the mail if u have a poor experience this is how they keep their CS l up.
