l just bought 4 new tires for my G35 sedan and the tire pressure monitor light will randomly turn on (every 3 or 4 days after I've been driving 20+ minutes).Once l get home, l check the pressure and all of the tires are fine pressure-wise.l live in San Diego, CA, so l do not think that weather is really a factor.

Does anyone have any idea why the light comes on and if there is any way to fix it.

Sensor error. l just checked, there is no recall on it, but you might want to call the dealership to see if there is a Technical Service Bullitin.

Double check u have the right pressure. NEVER use the pressure posted on the tire. That pressure is the maximum allowable pressure the tire can have. Inside the driver is door, the glove box, or under the fuel cap is where u will find a sticker that tells u ur actual tire pressure. Tire companies do not always know what car their tires r going on so the tire is not a good indication which PS l to use. The weight of different cars effects the tires & which pressure to use.

On the G35 the tire pressure sensor is in the tire attached to the stem (which is the antenna) and is about the size of a nine volt battery. It is possible that one was damaged when the tire was changed but it also could just be a bad sensor.

l have an '04 G35 & have had the same problem in the past.

The tire pressure light goes on (and is supposed to go on) at 25PSI. However, if u look in the manual, the suggested tire inflation for a G35 is 30PS l (only 5 PS l greater than when the light is supposed to go on). Therefore, the light will go on often if u only inflate ur tires to 30PS l after 3-4 days simply due to normal air release.

l suggest u check ur tires & see what the max level u can fill them to is. The max on my tires is 44PSI. So, l simply fill my tires to 35PS l (which is between the 30PS l reccomended by Infiniti & the 44PS l max inflation on my tire) & it solves the problem.
