i'm car shopping and my main choice is an infiniti g35 and l was wondering if anyone has one or purchased one and if so what they thought about it. thank you for all your help.

its a really nice car and l would recommend it, my friend bought a 2006 model sedan. it drives great and looks nice. If you are looking for other options similar to that model, try the Acura TL or the Lexus IS 350.

Infiniti is a really great choice. My first car was a used infiniti I30 of 1998, l liked how fast accelerates but without any noise or effort so l can imagine how well a G35 will be. Infinitis are comfortable and last longer than an average car so l say go for it. Right now l have a Chrysler and l can wait to have the money to buy my dream car the FX45, so you're so lucky!

l drive one, & l love it.

Know this first though- it eats brakes, & like any other luxury car, it is expensive to maintain.

Getting over that, the only other neg is the fit & finish.

If u can over look that, u will love the G. Try to find a 05+ model because that is when they made the interior 100x better.

Also look into a IS,ES (Lexus), Acura TL, Audi A4

The G, however, has the best drive out of all of those.

Edit: Right now l actually am driving the 07 G as a loaner. If u r looking into one, they r pretty cool, & even more fun to drive. l am not a huge fan of the seats in the G35x, but the G35 Sport that I've been in had much better seats. Interior is a bit better, but kinda lacks soul. Have a look for yourself, definately a nice car. Also, u probably want a tech package w/ the rear camera b/c the back end is very high & the cam cuts down on guess work.

l own an 04 G35 Coupe. The car is amazingly fun, especially since l have the stick shift. It is still able to turn heads & get compliments from people once in a while too. The only down side of the car is that the interior finish is not quite as good as l would have liked. It is nice, but it has a couple rattles here & there that l would not expect from a $35K+ car.
But the reliability has been excellent. The only time I've had to take it in (other than routine maintenance) was for a clicking sound in the rear axle, but that was a known issue in the 04s & covered under warranty. And unlike some others say, I've found the brakes to last quite a long time. l am at about 22K miles on the original Brembo brakes, & they still seem to have a lot of life left in them.

Bottom line: You certainly wo not be disappointed with the G35. It is the most fun, good looking, & quick car u can get for the price.

You will not be disappointed, but brace yourself as l believe the new (2007-beyond) G35 REQUIRES premium fuel whereas the 03-06 models only RECOMMENDED it. But since you're dropping so much money on a car, using premium probably should not really break your bank.

Other than that, the G35 represents an excellent value in the entry level luxury car arena. If l were in the market, it would be at the top of my list.
