go to your auto part store, they check your codes for free

Check your exhaust system, specifically the catalytic converter. If there is a leak problem there, that is what would result. It would be like a hole in the pipe or converter, not necessarily a actual failure.

Take it to an auto shop that will give you a free diagnostics test. They hook up a machine to your car and can tell exactly whats wrong with it, if anything. Also make sure you screw your gas cap on really good. l know my car dealership told me if l didnt screw the cap on good it would put my check engine light on

Only a Dealer can fix this. If the car is running OK, just ignore it.

Engine lights only come on on this year car if a sensor is open or shorted, so there is a problem that needs to be fixed. Dealer is expensive but they will get it right the first time. Independent shops usually seem cheaper until you have to fix it over and over again. Also dealers know the car inside and out and will look your car over top to bottom and advise you of any further problems.

If it is a vapor loss the light will shut off after so many start cycles and is caused by a bad gas cap. Give the cap a-little more clicks tight to test, if not O2 sensor but most of the time the light will stay on.
