2005 Infiniti G35 Coupe 6MT... what's causing the clicking sound coming from the rear axles

There is a strange clicking sound coming from the rear axles when the vehicle first begins to accelerate.

Yup, you need to check your u-joints. Same thing happen to me, luckly l caught it before it broke.

There is actually a service bulletin that Infiniti published regarding the rear axle clicking. The problem was not enough grease was put on the axles. You should be able to bring the car to the dealership and they can remove the rear axles and grease them up.

the is a technical service bulletin which involves replacing rear hub bearing assy on g35 ..the whole grease thing is temporary fix

U-Joints might be the problem.
