when picking brand new car up from dealer (not a demo), car had 192 miles already. Is that normal?

It usually is. People test drive the cars, and the salesperson usually drives the car home and back to get to know the features, and gets to know the car so he/she can explain how the car operates better for the customer.

No, l would be asking for a demo price. Or another car the arguement being that if she was to sell it to the dealer he would deem that as being a second hand car with low mileage.
Contact the factory if she has issues.
It should only be driven from factory to lot to truck to holding area to dealer.
What did they do drive it from the factory???

Sometimes the car is also bought from a nearby dealer. Then it is driven to the lot that she bought it from. One god thing, it should be good working because if any serious problems occurred they should have been fixed by now.

It could be delivered from another dealer, since they did not had it on stock. You are entitle to ask the dealer why if you are not convinced. A new car is about under 10 miles, 192 miles could be a demo also. Is ok hon, we all make mistakes, sorry that your mum bought one.

Hey l work at a dealership ad sometimes.. not all the vehicles come in with about 15 miles. and then the in house techs do a PD l pre delivery inspection to make sure everything is within operating range. on occasion l have seen problems that require multiple road tests to correct the problem, this also could be what has happened in this instance, but theres a good chance it was either factored into the price or you just paid too much. these are luxury cars.

The car may have been a dealer trade. This happens when a dealer needs a certain color or sunroof or model which is not in stock and trades one of their cars in inventory to another dealer for the car they need. Many times the sales people drive the cars to and from the dealers to make the delivery on time.

Do not worry; l also bought a brand new Mercedes-Benz ML350 with 574 miles on it. This is perfectly normal, as demos normally tend to have anywhere from 3,000-20,000 miles on them. Also the manufacturer has to road test the vehicle and then people test drive them. They are sometimes swapped with other dealers, and to swap, the cars are driven to the dealers, thus adding miles. As long as the car looks new, and operates like new, it is confirmed new!
