l am looking into purchasing a 2005 G35 Couple with 20000-30000 miles.Do they run strong and last well when reaching 100000+ miles?

Like any car that is taken care of. Most Japanese cars they have this look on their plastics. They look pretty wore out after few years. Is a cheap kind of looks.

Yes they do last long.
But they are expensive to maintain and fix.

infiniti is top of the line right now. g35 coupe very nice and will last your for ever.. do not get german car if you do that a huge mistake ever.. they had oil leak and electrical problem, so get a g35 coupe.. best choice ever!!!

Yes. No timing belt to replace, it has a chain for the cam drive.
Lower compression arms make noise occasionally at around 70,000 miles.
Front brake rotors need replacing at 65,000 miles on average, u can machine them the first time.
Drive belts crack at 48,000 & should be replaced.
No head gasket problems, the transmissions hold up well.
If the G35 is an X with all wheel drive u need to rotate tires every 7,500 miles. It is a good idea on any car to rotate tires at 7,500 intervals.
It is a nice luxury sports sedan, feels solid on the road & handles well.

Actually the good thing about an entry-level car is that the parts r cheap, thus the car is cheap. But the car is still luxurious & prestigious. Mid-size sedans tend to last a long time (look for an old Lexus sedan running on the road) & especially Infiniti vehicles (look for an old Infiniti SUV running on the road). So, the Infiniti G35 will run really good, & will probably complete over 1,000,000 miles, rather than 100,000 miles! It is an extremely reliable car. The only reason u r able to find such low mileage Infiniti G35 sedans is because of the model face lift in 2007.

l recall many web blogs mentioning brake problems on 03 or 04 G35's. l believe Infiniti/Nissan resolved the problems on a large scale. Do not remember if this applies to 05 G's. Just search google for problems for ur particular year/make/model. If there r any widespread problems, u will find the blogs full of the pissed off customers. l bought a pristine 07 G35s with 12K miles for a great price (no problems at all yet). After two weeks of using the G for my daily commute, l bought a 96 Toyota Paseo for $2k. The Paseo gets over 30 mpg. If u can afford the G, u should also get a beater car for everyday bumper to bumper traffic to save the wear/tear/miles on the G. What good does a $30K+, 300hp, 0-60 in 5.xx sec. sport luxury vehicle do at 10 mph in stop/go Wash DC traffic??? NONE! LOL ;), well OK, maybe l do look cool coasting down the road.LOL! The G has a powerful 6 cyl. engine that sucks gas like an 8 cyl. engine when u drive it like u really want to!
