l can not get into the trunk of my car with the key, and the switch where l think it would be in my dash has been ripped out(next to the switch for the gas tank). There is a switch in the glove box for the trunk that says on/off, but it does not do anything. Is there another way to manually open the trunk from outside of it? l do not have fold down seats.

The glove compartment switch is to shut the electric trunk release on or off so a third party can not open the trunk from inside the car. You will have to remove the rear seat and crawl into the truck to unlock the latch.

The switch in the glove box is a valet switch so the trunk cannot be opened with the remote. If you are using the ''valet key'' it will only start the car but not open the trunk. The trunk pop switch missing is not a good so l don`t even know if the trunk pop works. Buy a remote, or take it to a body shop.

Only way to get to the trunk is through the back seat..reach for the trunk saftey release through the back seat and it should open for you.
