I've been told that they wo not fit. l wanted to put 8.5 inch lip in the front and 9.5 in the rear. Any suggestions?

Yes, but offset is critical.
l thnik u probably meant to say u want to put 8.5'' wide wheels in front, & 9.5 in the rear.
The sedan did not come with a staggered setup, but it CAN be done.
Make SURE u get the offsets for both front & rear wheels, & then check in here: http://forums.g35club.org/zeroforum?id=264 (G35 Wheel / Tire Fitment Database) to make sure the fit will be correct.
Keep in mind u will not be able to rotate the tires. But it will look great!
