The gas cover says ''Premium fuel is recommended'' so it does not say necessary. l ask different people and get different opinions so I'd like to see what you guys think! And if not using premium n using maybe regular will in time hurt my car. Thanks!

through experience of owning imports which need a high octane fuel only fill with what the car recommends & please do not no matter what any one says put a lower grade of fuel in ur car,the car is designed & test to run on that full rating,Yes people prob have ran for cars for years on the lower full.Just as people can run for years eating the wrong food but as with the car & the person it may be soon or later but it will cause some problems along the way.
Stick to the best fuel & u get the best from ur car as it is with anything in life.
l know its more expensive but myself have to do a 12 mile trip just to get a high grade fuel.
Save a few pennies today but risk losing a few notes tommorow

Yeah its just recommended so u can get the max performance possible from the G35 is engine, but otherwise no u do not have to. Premium or high octane just burns hotter & cleaner, So yeah in the long run on regular gas that does not burn too hot & clean may in time dirty up the engine. But l am talking like maybe 5+ years depending on how much u drive. Thats why at Shell gas stations they recommended that u put Premium in ur car, & has been proven if u use premium gas in the long run will gain u gas mpg is & ur engine will be a lot cleaner, & like 5 horse power gain.

l would put premium.. that VQ engine will run fine on regular and you will save about 18 cents a gallon but you may be shorting the life of your car. so you will save 3 bucks if you fill your car up with 20 gallons of gas but may cause 500 bucks of damage down the road .not sure its worth it .

If you have the coupe use premium and if you have a sedan use reg. with premium from time to time.
