Yes it requires premium. l have one and absolutely love it!!! l am big into performance cars and this one suits me perfectly. If you can get one l recommend it. l have the coupe and love it!

The sedans don`t need it but they want it.

It depends on which model. The G35 sedan can take regular gas, but the coupe requires it, because the engine and car is built to be more sporty.

Actually, if people here knew their stuff, they'd know that both the G35 sedan & G37 CAN use regular gas, & technically (due to anti-knock sensors) ''shouldn't'' suffer from it.

That said, the VQ engine is OPTIMIZED to run on premium, meaning u might actualy see better gas mileage, & u will def. see a slight increase in performance.

Today is gas is so heavy with ethanol, though, the performance gains would be minimal. l recommend doing premium simply because it will usually run ''cleaner''
