Since your car is still new it should be fine. Just do not do it too again. The reason for the high octane is to prevent knock from the engine. But its G35 is a Japanese Import so it can handle 87 just fine for now. lol

wo not kill your car but will effect performance a bit . not so much that you would notice tho. those car will work with the lower octane but to maintenance car is engine and performance you should always use 91 + octane. one fill up wont kill ya tho ..

I've heard that computer sensors in cars will sense the octane level and adjust to compensate for the reduced octane level, so l do not think the one time fill up with 87 octane will damage the engine or anything. You wo not get the same horsepower as you normally would though. That said, if you spend $30,000 plus for a car, why risk it?

It should be fine it of course will flush eventually and the 91 octain is recomender for max proformance. putting in lower will reduce gas milage and power but will NOT kill the car.. hope this helped!

l use to have a G coupe. Only put 91 in it. But car nowadays have sensors that let them be filled with 87, without any knocks. You do hinder performance, and fuel efficiency though.
l now have an Acura TL. l rarely put anything other than 87 in it. Although 91 is recommended. l just notice a performance lag. And l do not like my TL, l MISS MY G COUPE!!!!
