l really really want a g35 coupe and the only thing l fear is the winter time because l keep hearing this car sucks in the winter(snow/heavy rain). Is there any way l could improve the car through winter and rainy days or should l just give up and look for a front wheel drive car instead.

snow and rain not the hard part its the ice thats what gets you and you will be in same boat as the rest its low and steady driving that gets you thru not to fast that you spin but not so slow that you cant keep moving something you have to work on too slow is almost as bad as to fast

the car is a sled in bad weather . being from DC & having previously owned a G35 . l would really suggest u pass. If u just gotta have the car, get some really good snow tires & just be very cautious when driving . the low end torque of that car will have u sliding around when u step on the gas in rain & snow.
that being said - the car is awesome !!! u may wanna look at the g35x sedan or an FX ( which l now own ). ( yea, l know, it is just not as cool . ) good luck !!!

Listen. l grew up in Virginia. l drive a G35. If you can drive in snow, it wo not be too bad. A G35 is a great car, but get some snow tires or chains.

Considering we only get snow about 5 days a year on average and rarely more then 1 foot each time l would not be concerned about it. Just call in a snowday or take the metro on those days. Now if this car can not even handle being driven in the rain..that would be pretty sad indeed. Just get some all-season or winter tires like everybody says, there are plenty of people in this area driving G35 is and BMW is and whatever other brands are rear wheel drive.

The only way to drive a G35 Coupe in snowy weather is to by an extra set of rims & put Blizzack tires on them. Next u will need about 200 pounds of weight in the trunk. l recommend sacks of sand. Menards sells 3to4 foot tubes of sand in the winter season.
Do not use sacks of salt. They get wet & usually rust out the trunk metal work. If u do not want to go though this every winter, Buy the G35X. The all wheel drive switches to rear wheel drive & is computer controlled.

l had a G coupe and l live in Toronto.

#1 Get snow tyres (please for the love of God do not drive in the sport types)
#2 Sandbag the trunk.
