although the infinti may have a high PEAK horsepower (260hp) the camaro will have a wider high horsepower power band and torque curve what that means is the camaro will have higher torque and horsepower (275hp) over more of its rpm so yes the camaro will probably win the race

Infinity wins. 4th gen Camaro with a LT1 or LS1 is a different story.
3rd gen is from 82-92. Those were quick for their day but pretty underpowered by todays standards.
None of these people know the difference between a 3rd and 4th gen F-body. 92 Camaro (last of 3rd gen) 245 hp/345 lb-ft, L98 V8 93 Camaro (1st of the 4th gen) 275 hp/325 lb-ft, LT1 V8

The Camaro is definitely the faster of the 2 in a straight line drag race. It would be close, but the G35 would lose like everyone else above has stated. Those American V8 is are tough to beat, they may look like crap but the recent Pontiac GTO is also had the Corvette 5.7 liter engine.
